The Word of God is filled with divine instruction on how to live our lives according to God’s will. These morally perfect laws also have consequences if not obeyed. Take drunkenness for example. Millions of people die every year because of alcohol and drugs. There is a suitable wage for every sin. For today’s subject matter we are looking at the abomination of bestiality and how its deadly tentacles have spread like wildfire through sexual promiscuity.
You may wonder how sex with animals has such a deadly effect on modern society today when you probably do not know anyone who has committed such an act. Only about 6% of the US population engages in this kind of behavior. That number is almost tripled to 17% for farmers though. Many, if not all, venereal diseases come from bestiality.
It’s been concluded that all of HIV cells originated from African green monkeys. It would’ve only been transferred to humans through sexual contact: not evolution of course. European and American interactions with the slave trade led to the worldwide range of the virus we know today.
New World sheep are known to carry the syphilis germ with no symptoms. Settlers and explorers would have brought the germ back to Europe through sexual contact alone.
Gonorrhea is traceable to cattle. One of the symptoms is a significant loss of weight. A study of rural Nepali women showed a correlation between low body mass index and cattle ownership in those who were carrying gonorrhea.
The bacteria Brucellosis can be contracted by human contact with infected dog semen, vaginal fluid, or urine.
HPV comes from a combination of a high number of sexual partners and either contact with chlamydia or herpes. This is the most common of all STDs and while many people do not develop symptoms, those that do are left dealing with a virtually incurable cervical cancer or genital warts.
After reviewing some of origins of these diseases, it is clear that bestiality is handled in a severe way by God. Mighty consequences lay in wait for those who think it is okay to sleep with animals. More importantly for those who are sexually promiscuous! Think about it. If you remain pure until marriage, you will only have one sexual partner who hopefully has also been pure. That limits your chances of one of these diseases affecting you to a zero percent chance. No one is going to marry someone else without telling them that they have an STD, because they risk having serious marital problems or divorce otherwise. If you are just prowling around casually, there is no reason for an infected person to tell that they have a disease they know about. They do not have to if they do not want to, which is tragic but you run the risk yourself. You will find yourself in abundant favor with God if you refrain from fornication and adultery.
Deuteronomy 27:21 Anyone will be cursed who has sexual relations with an animal. Then all the people will say, Amen!
Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
