Since his appointment as Donald Trump’s candidate for attorney general, this man has been under fire for controversial comments he has made decades ago. Some may deem him a racist if they solely formulate their opinion based on the media portrayal. I believe this man’s overall track record justifies any mistakes he has made as far as off the cuff comments go and shows that he is qualified. We all screw up. Jeff Sessions will play a critical role in securing the border and deporting all CRIMINAL illegal aliens. He is the author of Trump’s plans for immigration. I’m going to approach this differently from most other posts and let Rush Limbaugh do the educating. I listen to his radio show daily and have always trusted his information. Here is the transcript from his segment on Jeff Sessions:
Now, folks, let me tell you one thing here about Jeff Sessions, since I brought the subject up. I’ve had some dealings with the man over the course of the years here, and I can tell you from the bottom of my heart he is one of the… He’s a true gentleman. He’s just however you would describe a great guy. He’s a great guy, nice person, thoughtful, considerate, polite, but tough. He’s been carrying the water in the United States Senate against the odds of both parties.
He’s been carrying the entire load for the most part. He’s had some help, but he’s been the figurehead, the spearhead leader of the anti-amnesty movement in the Senate in the Republican Party, and they have been coming after Jeff Sessions for who knows how long, and he was one of the very first to sign on with Trump because he knows how crucial this issue is to America remaining America. Now, they’re out saying Jeff Sessions is a racist, that Jeff Sessions has ties to the KKK.
I’m always amazed by this because it’s the Democrats that have ties to the KKK, and they elect them. The Democrats elected a former Grand Kleagle from the Ku Klux Klan, a man by the name of Robert “Sheets” Byrd from West Virginia, where practically every public building and highway is named after the guy. Did you know Hugo Black, a well-known Supreme Court justice? You know he had ties to the KKK? These are all Democrats. The Democrats were — the Ku Klux Klan, ladies and gentlemen…
For those of you new to the program and maybe ill-educated along the way, the Ku Klux Klan was, for all intents and purposes, the military wing of the Democrat Party back in the days of segregation, back in the forties and the fifties. All of those sheriffs and governors and university presidents that wouldn’t let African-Americans in the doorways or on the bus or at the lunch counter? They were all Democrats. There wasn’t a Republican among them, the segregationists.
In fact, one of the biggest ones was a senator from Arkansas by the name of J. William Fulbright. Bill Clinton referred to Fulbright as one of his mentors. The Republicans have never elected a Klan member to the United States Senate, but the Democrats have, and Robert “Sheets” Byrd actually went on Fox News Sunday and used the N-word one day. He wasn’t calling anybody the name. He used to it in a discussion about it, and nobody cared a whit because as a Democrat he could do whatever he wanted.
But he was a recruiter! That’s what a Grand Kleagle is, I guess. He went out and recruited people to join the Klan. Yeah, he eventually saw the light. But do you think if there was a former Klan member in the Republican Party he would still be in the Republican Party? Do you think he would have ever been elected to anything? There is no way. So all of these allegations about Sessions and everybody else they want to tar and feather as a Klan member, it’s absurd. It’s like throwing the name Hitler around.
They’re really running out of weapons. They are going to cause fatigue by the time Trump’s presidency actually starts. They’re holding nothing in reserve. That doesn’t mean they’re gonna go away. That’s one of the things I want to focus on here. But first, a little bit about Sessions. “As a U.S. attorney…” He was a United States attorney. That means some president decided to make him a United States attorney.
“As U.S. attorney, Sessions filed several cases to desegregate schools in Alabama.” That means he filed several cases to integrate, to allow African-Americans into public schools. “And he also prosecuted Klansman Henry Francis Hays, son of Alabama Klan leader Bennie Hays, for abducting and killing Michael Donald, a black teenager selected at random. Sessions insisted on the death penalty for Hays. When he was later elected the state Attorney General, Sessions followed through and made sure Hays was executed.
“The successful prosecution of Hays also led to a $7 million civil judgment against the Klan, effectively breaking the back of the KKK in Alabama.” Jeff Sessions did it!
